Creator and founder of Nika Interiors is Nika Grigsby-de Jong. Nika has had a passion for all things design since she was a young girl growing up on a South Florida ranch. She has used her off time to decorate and design many friends and family member’s homes. She started out her career with a doctorate degree in veterinary medicine. Many of her attributes learned in her earlier career make Nika an asset to the home staging and décor industry. She is driven and honest and will always strive to achieve the best result for all parties.

Nika’s philosophy towards staging to sell is multifaceted. One goal is to create an emotion evoking and inviting space for potential home buyers. Another key aspect is to allow the furnishings to highlight the attributes and focal points that the home itself has to offer. Nika is a natural (and professionally educated) problem solver. Home owners and real estate agents can rest assured she will work hard to make the transition as effortless as possible.

The design aesthetic that speaks to Nika the most personally is one of clean modern lines but with unique points of view using either color, texture or pattern. When designing a home for clients to love she strives to listen to not only what clients need but also how they want to feel in their own space.

In her off time she enjoys caring for and loving children in the foster system. Nika met her Dutch soul mate at a country dance hall here in Texas. They were lucky enough to adopt their son through the foster system and their daughter joined them soon after. The four enjoy outdoor sports, biking (as any good Dutch family should), gardening and movie nights together.
