This was an occupied house that needed help sprucing things up. We worked with the existing furniture but added some new decor. One of the issues that was asked to be addressed was that the living space felt too dark. For that reason we chose a lighter/brighter color palette. Despite using a more neutral color palette we added visual interest by mixing textures. We also pulled inspiration from the existing artwork. The Girl with a Pearl Earring wears a beautiful shade of blue/grey head piece and therefore blue tones were incorporated as accents around the room.
